Final Summer Review

Zella loves rootin' for the RIvercats! We had the opportunity to go to 2 games this summer, and Zella loved heckling Dinger, the mascot!

Whoohoo! Go Rivercats!
I think she got a little too tired as she sort of petered out towards the end. Here she is relaxing and taking a mini break.
Another great time we shared over the summer was the 4th of July. Zella attended the traditional pancake breakfast at our ward and then on Sunday we had family and friends over for barbeque and fireworks!

Zella in her 4th of July dress...

Zella actually fell asleep for some of the fireworks... so here is a highlight!

The Beach!

Zella made her way out for the first time to the beach, and she loved it! We are blessed to have friends who invited us out to spend the weekend with them near Santa Cruz.

Although the day started off cold, Zella still had a blast playing in the sand and having her daddy dangle her tiny feet in the water.

Swimming!

So it has been awhile since the last post, so the next couple will be catch up for what Zella was up to over the summer.

Z bear had her first swim in the pool, and she absolutely love it! She wasn't afraid to go in, and she actually cried when we had to take her out. This wasn't too much of a shocker since she also loves bath time too!

Here is daddy taking her around the pool....

Time to dry off... If she could speak, she would be asking her dad when it was time to go back again!

Because Zella loved swimming so much, we have enrolled her in her first swimming classes. She actually begins on October 16. We'll see how it goes!

Zella's Blessing Day- June 6, 2010

The first Sunday in June was a special one for our little family. Zella was finally around 3 months and it was time for her blessing. Her dad gave her a beautiful blessing and we realized that not only are we blessed with one amazing daughter, but we were twice as blessed to have all of her family and friends there in attendance. We are so grateful to them and all that each and everyone does to show their love and support for us!
After the blessing, my friend Erica took some pictures for us at the temple. Here is a couple of our little family...

Zella with each pair of grandparents...

All the family...

And some snapshots of the little girl....

Zella,
Your dad and I love you so very much! You are the best thing in our little family. We are so grateful that Heavenly Father gave you to us and we are so excited to share our lives together!

Sleeping Baby....

This past weekend we went to celebrate our good friend's cute baby boy turning the big #1! It began as a day full of excitement, and poor little Zbear was too excited to sleep. She quickly became Little-Miss-Cranky-Pants! But after a nice warm bottle and a little rocking she decided she needed a rest and returned back into the angel we love! lol!

Thank you Erica for the absolutely adorable picture!

2 Months!

Wow! I can't believe that it has almost been two months since Zella was born. Well, two months tomorrow.....

She is already so big! She drink, acts, and moves around like she is 4 months. She has already been through her phases of baby acne and a little bit of cradle cap, but I just can't help showering her with tons of hugs and kisses! However, we did have a bit of a scare when she was 2-weeks. Zella caught a cold and had to be admitted to the hospital for four days. It was probably the worst four days of my entire life. But she turned out to be fine. Her fever stemmed from a common cold and she has been great ever since!

We actually had a great first mother's day together. (Still can't believe that I'm a mom!) W wants more kids right away. Ha! I think I might wait awhile! lol!

She's Here!

So after many months of waiting, Zella finally became a member of our family on March 12, 2010. She made a big entrance weighing in at 10lbs exactly. She also was pretty long, 22 1/4 inches. Here are some pictures....

Here is Zella right after they bathed her and brought both of us up to the recovery room.

Still warm and comfy in the hospital....
We actually stayed in the hospital a couple days longer since Zella had a touch of jaundice. No need for light therapy, but they wanted to watch her and see if her levels would decrease, which they did!

Here is Zella on her first car ride home. This is about the only 5 seconds that she was actually awake. She slept most of the way.

Some baby time playing on mom and dad's bed!

Sorry it has been so long from posting, but as you new moms know, it is hard to get away for a few small moments. But don't worry.... there are more to come! lol!

Updates!

So I finally looked at how long it has been since I posted, and thought I should give an update. Well... for starters, nothing new or exciting except for the fact that I  have gotten huge! Here is the latest picture.

I know... it is for a good reason, but I am equally shocked and amazed! lol!

Even more so, here is a picture of my feet, that are now cankles!

Every night they get elevated and every morning they reappear! Oh the joys of mommy-hood! I must say that I have so much more respect for you mommies out there!
