So as you all may have guessed.... I really suck when it comes to posting on my blog. So I guess I can do a quick recap and then make a small promise to be better!
So I can't believe that it has been over a year since my little monkey was born. I love her so much, and she is such a personality. Below are some of her first year pictures that the talented Erica Savage (ericasavagephotography.com) took of little Z.

So for some year highlights, Zella was off and running from the start! She began taking her first steps around Christmas (about 9 1/2 months), and never looked back. At the moment, her new thing is trying to walk backwards! It is super cute!

This happens to be one of my favorite pictures, and I am sure Zella will hate that I will have it framed and hanging for all her friends and boyfriends to see in years to come! But she does have the cutest little tushy!

Zella can say a few words now. It's the usual "mommmm" and "daddy". She can also make out what seems to be "grandpa" and "grandma". She says "nice nice" when talking about the kitty and "mob boss" when looking at the diaper. I don't know the correlation with that one, but it makes Will and I laugh.

Some of Zella's favorite foods are sweet potatoes and pizza. She loves trying new food! However, I do know that she is not a fan of broccoli. I tried disguising the broccoli with cheese. Silly mommy, little smarty picked off the cheese and tossed the broccoli on the floor!

Zella had her first big 'owie' when she was 11 months. She was running after her grandpa down the hall when she tripped and fell into the door frame. It left a small cut above her left eye, which so far, hasn't gone away. Will thinks it will scar... I am hoping it won't.

Zella is now a little traveler. We had the opportunity to go to Texas for a wedding this past November, and I must admit, she did really well. Plane ride? Not a peep. Hotel? She was so excited she was giggling every time we walked through the door. Even with the long car ride from the airport to our hotel, she slept. I guess we will see if this was a fluke when we go to Seattle this September. Hmmmmm......

Zella has a very big heart for stuffed animals. Too big of a heart if you ask me. We have over 25 stuffed animals, and they are ALL Zella's! She hugs them and says "night night" and then sits on them! It is so cute. Her grandpa also has a big heart for stuffed animals and bought her a giant duck, (which we named Jefferson), and every time she sees Jefferson laying on the floor she runs up to him and fall directly on top of him. I have actually come into the family room to see her lounging on him and doing nothing else. Those two are too funny!

There is so much more to say about my Z Bear. I have loved every minute she has been in my life and a part of our little family. She has brought us so much love and joy and I am so grateful for her and to my Heavenly Father for allowing me to be her mommy!
